Home Sweet ...
This culdesac of the internet is the academically-bent homepage for Steve Lianoglou, feel free to wander.
I am a PhD student in Dr. Christina Leslie's Lab and enrolled in the Physiology, Biophysics, and Systems Biology program at Weill Cornell Medical College.
My research interests lie at the intersection of computer and biological science: computational systems biology, if you will. In practical terms, these interests manifest themselves in the application of machine learning techniques to high throughput biological data with the goal of better understanding fundamental cellular processes, such as the mechanisms of gene regulation and cell fate determination.
My research interests follow from my life interests. In short, I believe that to a large extent we are all responsible for one another. I can carry on about that single topic for a long time, but let me just leave that statement as being the reason that I am here, and was there.
