Home Sweet ...
This culdesac of the internet is the academically-bent homepage for Steve Lianoglou, feel free to wander.
I'm a PhD student doing research in Dr. Christina Leslie's Lab at the Computational Biology Department of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. All of these links deserve some more: I'm actually enrolled in the Physiology, Biophysics, and Systems Biology program at Weill Cornell Medical College. These are the good folks who will eventually sign my ticket to get out of here ...
My research interests lie at the intersection of computer and biological science: computational systems biology, if you will. In practical terms, this manifests itself in the application of machine learning techniques to high throughput biological data in order to better understand fundamental cellular processes, such as the mechanisms of gene regulation and cell fate determination.
These research interests are simply an extension of my life interests. In short, I believe that to a large extent we are all responsible for one another. It's the reason I'm a graduate student here, and was there.
