Training
Faculty from cBio participate in graduate training provided through the following graduate programs:
- Gerstner Sloan-Kettering Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences
- Graduate Training Program in Computational Biology and Medicine
Hands-on workshops in bioinformatics and genomics data analysis have been developed and offered by the Bioinformatics Core in collaboration with Cornell University and Rockefeller University, as part of the Tri-Institutional Program. These include introductory classes in sequence comparison, microarray analysis, bioinformatics software packages, the Unix operating system, the Perl programming language and the mySQL RDBMS. A list of past and planned workshops are available at http://www.trii.org/courses/.
Please visit methods descriptions of the Bioinformatics Core to find out more about our most common analysis questions, and more detail about the methods and tools we employ to answer these questions.
