Postdoc Sander Group
Computational & Systems Biology

Join Chris Sander's group as a postdoc in the interdisciplinary Computational Biology Center at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York City, with links to Rockefeller and Cornell (Weill Medical College) Universities. Located in the new Zuckermann Research Center at MSKCC.

Our focus is on systems analysis and simulation, linking genotype to phenotype and molecular detail to physiology, in close collaboration with experimentalists.

Current and future research & development topics include

  • Simulation and prediction of perturbation effects in pathways
  • Design of multiplex therapeutic intervention
  • Design principles of biological systems
  • Functional networks of small RNA molecules
  • microRNAs in stem cells and cancer
  • Specificity analysis of biomolecular interactions
  • Quantitative definition of biological function
  • Genomics and cancer
  • Human genetic variation
  • Pathway Commons, a public domain information resource

Join a group of about a dozen postdocs and software engineers. Collaborate with others and lead a project. Check your predictions against experiment. Do imaginative basic science. Apply your results to disease biology and health care.

You may have a PhD or equivalent in biology, medicine, mathematics, physics, chemistry or engineering. Send CV, bibliography, brief statement of research interests and names of 3 references to , any time. Then consider packing your bags and spending a few years in one of the best computational and systems biology centers this side of Pluto.
